Raúl is a quiet, conservative guy. He has a girlfriend and a job he loves, but his life falls apart when he is diagnosed with heart cancer and his partner, unaware of the situation, leaves him. Marta is a publicist allergic to commitment, happy not to have to explain herself to anyone, until one day she discovers she is pregnant. Ironically, Raúl and Marta meet at the funeral of a school friend and rekindle their friendship, putting their beliefs to the test: that she can fall in love even if she is a non-believer, and that he can meet the woman of his life... even if his life may be rather short.
