Mitja Lluna i l'Estel is a captivating short film based on a poem from al-Andalus. This handcrafted short film utilizes 2D animation created with coloured pencils. It is inspired by the Andalusian period and is rich in symbolism from al-Andalus. The story unfolds in the magnificent setting of the Alhambra in Granada.
It is an initiatory journey of a young woman throughout her life. The landscape is filled with migrating storks heading towards the Maghreb, the aroma of the desert, traversed by the Baetic mountain range and caressed by the southern wind. The physics of souls intertwines with that of the stars, which incline us to either embrace or separate, to look inward and find ourselves like an oasis amidst the dunes and aridity.
