Only On Earth

Only on Earth delves into one of Europe's wildfire hotspots, extending from Galicia in north-western Spain to central Spain and Portugal. Set against a summer of extreme heat and drought, the film portrays relentless wildfires endangering the local community and wildlife. The narrative follows four characters – a child cowboy, a horse vet, a firefighter, and a shepherdess – in their humble and heroic efforts to safeguard their lives, homes, traditions, and dreams amid the fire crisis. The film explores their unique connection with the landscape and the native wild horses integral to preventing widespread devastation by fires for centuries.
